Abstract
This study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to determine the effect of exercise rehabilitation programs on improving cognitive function in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in Korea. Data sources were collected from RISS, KISS, e-article, DBpia, and Korea Med in January 2024. The PRISMA guideline was used to select the studies to be included in the results. Cochrane risk of bias was used to evaluate the quality literature, and RStudio 2023.12.0+369 version was used for meta-analysis. Finally, 18 studies were analyzed in systematic review and 14 studies were included in meta-analysis. The results of the meta-analysis showed that the exercise rehabilitation program had a medium effect size (SMD = 0.62, 95% CI = 0.14; 1.09, I2 = 80%) on cognitive function of older adults with mild cognitive impairment. It is expected that the methods and effects of the exercise rehabilitation program for improving cognitive function in older adults with mild cognitive impairment presented in the results of this study will be as a basis for field application.
