Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the scoring patterns of world-class taekwondo players according to their game Tactics styles. To be specific, this study utilized 345 matches of G.P Competition 2015 for notational analysis and selected rotation, offensive situation, offensive pattern and kicking tactics as factors of analysis. For the purpose of this study, it classified game Tactics styles as ‘Dominating Center Court Style’, ‘Playing in Center Court Style’ or ‘Playing around Court Boundary Style’(Jung et al, 2010). The study quantified the data regarding several factors during the match and game Scoring Patterns of Game Tactics in World-class Taekwondo Players styles by using Dartfish program, which is a video analysis tool. In addition, it used SPSS 19.0 to analyze scoring patterns according to game Tactics styles. Frequency, percentage and chi-square examination was executed and alpha level was set to 0.5. The results of this study are as follows. First, in both male and female taekwondo matches, if the player mainly plays in the center court, he or she shows higher scoring patterns. Second, when a male player is leading the game and dominates the center court, he showed higher scoring patterns while female player showed the same results by mainly playing in the court boundary. Third, both male and female players showed higher scoring patterns by striking first while dominating the center court. Fourth, while dominating the center court, both male and female players showed the highest scoring patterns with turning kick followed by pushing kick and turning kick to the head.
