Abstract
This study proposes human modeling that simulates the motions of the upper body joints from an impact on human lower arm and a validation method. Towards this end, this study built a basic human skeleton model by referring to a subject’s body size, and then calculated the motions of the upper body joints of the skeleton model through impact simulation. Finally, this study built a skeleton model that was most similar to actual behaviour through a reverse tracking method by which the attributes of the joints encompassed in the skeleton model were changed in comparison with the motions of the joints of subjects captured with a camera in an experiment. The human model created through such a method shows high reliability that is similar to actual behavior in relation to different levels of impact.
