Abstract
The purpose of this study is to suggest an improvement of GBCC(Green Building Certification Criteria) for sustainable development in a view of urban planning. First, this study analyzes assessment indicators and acquisition trend of GBCC. Second, It also compares GBCC with foreign green building certification(LEED, CASBEE etc). Third, this study suggests assessment indicators for sustainable development and conducts the survey for the experts in order to analyze the importance and application. The importance of each field was analyzed in the following order: 'Landuse and Traffic', 'Energy', 'Ecological Environment'. This study suggested 28 indicators in 7 categories for 'Landuse and Traffic'. Newly improved GBCC can be used to assess sustainable development as well as environment-friendly quality of building and induce sustainable development by activating private participation.
