dc.description.abstract본 연구는 다문화청소년패널조사 자료를 활용해 이주배경 청소년의 문화변용 전략에 따른 6년간의 학업성취도 차이를 분석했다. 그 결과, 문화변용 전략에 따라 유의미한 학업성취도 차이가 관찰되었다. 먼저, 문화변용 전략 중 ‘통합’을 선택한 집단이 가장 높은 학업성취도를 보였으며, 이어서 ‘동화’, ‘분리’, ‘주변화’ 순이었다. 또한 ‘통합’ 전략을 선택한 집단 내부에서도 ‘높은 수준의 통합’ 집단이 학업성취도가 더욱 우수했다. 한편, 한국문화수용태도가 높을수록 학업성취도도 높았으나, 외국문화수용태도의 경우 낮은 수준의 집단에서만 다소 낮은 학업성취도를 보일 뿐, 중간 수준과 높은 수준 집단 간에는 학업성취도 차이가 없었다. 향후 이주배경 청소년의 학업성취도 개선을 위한 정책적・실천적 개입은 이들의 문화변용 전략을 보다 면밀히 고려할 필요가 있다.-
dc.description.abstractThis study analyzed immigrant youth’s academic achievement over six years according to their acculturation strategies. A series of analysis was conducted based on the MAPS data. We found significant differences in academic achievement among different acculturation groups. First, the ‘integration’ group showed the highest academic achievement, followed by the ‘assimilation’, ‘separation’, and ‘marginalization’ groups consecutively. Second, within the ‘integration’ group, the ‘high integration’ sub-group showed even higher achievement. Finally, immigrant youth with a ‘moderate’ or ‘high’ attitude toward keeping the heritage (non-Korean) culture demonstrated higher achievement than those with a ‘low’ attitude. However, academic achievement did not significantly differ between the ‘moderate’ and ‘high’ attitude groups. Overall, these findings suggest that multicultural education interventions should consider immigrant youth’s acculturation strategies more closely to improve their effectiveness.-
