- Abstract
- This study attempted to investigates the moderated mediating effect of parental support including the mediating effect of depression in the relationship between acculturative stress and school adjustment of adolescents from multicultural families and the moderating effect of parental support in the relationship between depression and school adjustment. This study is a study usingused secondary data, which is previously collected data, and used the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study (MAPS) from the National Youth Policy Institute (NYPI). Among tThe Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study of the third year of the middle school s panelpanal data, which is data for the sixth year, was used for this study. The main results of this study showed a significant correlation between variables, and the mediating effect of depression, the moderating effect of parental support and the moderated mediating effect of parental support were confirmed. Through these research results, the moderated mediating effect of parental support in the relationship between acculturative stress, depression, and school adjustment of adolescents from multicultural families was confirmed. These research results can be found to be a protective factor that parental support positively affects school adjustment. Also, these research results are expected to be used as basic data for preparing education, counseling, and treatment programs focusing on improving parental support.
