- Abstract
- A mmWave conformal array with 1×4 slot antenna elements which is built on the rounded edge of the metal-covered mobile handset is proposed. To provide good beamforming performance using the conformal array, the phase compensation and side-lobe suppression techniques are employed. As a result, the proposed array offers 90° beam coverage satisfying 8 dBi gain for θ angles with 5 scanned beams.
