대학생활 참여 유형별 재정(학자금) 지원 만족도 및 대학생활 만족도 차이 분석－잠재프로파일분석을 중심으로

Abstract

목적 본 연구의 목적은 대학생활 참여도에 따른 대학생 잠재프로파일을 식별하고, 프로파일별 재정(학자금) 지원 만족도와 대학생활 만족도 간 차이를 규명하는 데 있다. 방법 대학생 재정 지원, 대학생활 참여도, 대학생활 만족도 등을 조사한 한국장학패널(KOSAPS)에서 대학생활 참여도에 응답한1,051명의 자료를 활용하여 잠재프로파일분석(LPA)을 적용하였다. 잠재프로파일 분류에 영향을 미치는 선행요인과 프로파일별결과변수의 차이를 분석하기 위해 3단계 접근법이 활용되었다. 결과 분석 결과, 대학생활 중 교과 및 비교과 활동 참여도에 따라 4개의 프로파일(비교과 우선 프로파일, 교과 우선 프로파일, 참여저조 프로파일, 참여 활발 프로파일)이 분류되었고, 재정(학자금) 지원 만족도가 높아지면 비교과 우선 프로파일보다 교과 우선 프로파일이나 참여 활발 프로파일에 속할 확률이 높아지고, 참여 저조 프로파일보다 교과 우선 프로파일이나 참여 활발 프로파일에 속할확률이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 4개의 프로파일별 대학생활 만족도의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 참여 활발 프로파일이 가장 높았고, 교과 우선 프로파일, 비교과 우선 프로파일, 참여 저조 프로파일 순으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 결론 연구 결과를 바탕으로 개인별 맞춤형 진로지도 방안 및 고등교육 재정 지원 정책 수립과 관련된 이론적, 실천적 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

Objectives The purpose of the present study is to identify latent profiles of university students' participation in curricular and extracurricular programs and to analyze the differences in satisfaction with financial support and with college life between the latent profiles. Methods We analyzed the data of 1,051 university students from the 4th Korea Student Aid Panel Survey (KOSAPS) using a latent profile analysis. Additionally, the effects of predictors and the differences in outcome variables between the latent profiles were examined using a 3-step approach. Results We identified four latent profiles: extracurricular programs preferred profile, curricular preferred profile, low participation profile, and active participation profile. We also found that the higher the satisfaction with financial support, the higher the probability of belonging to the curricular preferred profile and active participation profile than other profiles. The difference in satisfaction with college life was statistically significant by the four profiles, the active participation profile was the highest, followed by curricular preferred profile, extracurricular programs preferred profile, and low participation profile. Conclusions Based on the findings, the theoretical and practical implications were discussed.
