- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact sound generation characteristics of floating floor. The sandwich structures with compliant viscoelastic core were used to model these floating floors. The viscoelastic properties of resilient core were measured from the beam transfer function method. The Rayleigh-Ritz method was applied to analyze the interaction of panels with viscoelastic core. In particular, the influence of the viscoelastic core was investigated and used for minimizing impact noise. The effect of mass-stiffness-mass resonance frequency and wave propagation characteristics on the radiated sound was analyzed using the proposed numerical model.
