- Abstract
- This paper proposes an improved rotor position estimation method in the stationary reference frame for the sensorless control based on the high frequency rotating voltage signal injection in an Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM). This method extracts the rotor position related information from voltage and current difference equations and uses the rotating matrix in the stationary reference frame, and then it calculates the rotor position directly by using the envelope through the all pass filter. Unlike the conventional heterodyning demodulation process, the proposed method does not estimate the rotor position error but the rotor position itself. Because this method does not need the band pass filter and low pass filter, it can estimate the accurate rotor position without any problem of the filter. The experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.
