전통적 원형과 존재론적 기원의 발견-손광은의 시세계

Abstract

손광은의 시는 ‘생명력’이라는 키워드를 충족하는 세계로 귀일한다. 그의 시편들은 자신의 육체와 정신 안팎에 흩뿌려져 있는 생명의 흔적들을 탐구하고 그것을 자신의 시업으로 삼으려는 갱신 의지에 의해 발원한다. 그리고 그는 농경적 풍경과 정서의 재현을 통해 민족적이고 전통적인 삶의 원형을 담아낸다. 가장 혁신적인 기법에서 가장 전통적인 사유에까지 넓은 편폭을 드리운 생명력의 세계가 그 안에 들어 있는 것이다. 손광은의 시는 지난 시간에 대한 섬세하고도 일관된 경험의 형식을 취하고 있고, 그 가운데 섬세한 기억을 빌린 회상의 형식을 줄곧 택한다. 원형적이고 훼손되지 않은 기억이야말로 그로 하여금 삶을 살아가게 하는 근원적 힘이 되어준 것이다. 그렇게 그는 존재론적 기원으로서의 고향 탐구 양상을 보여주면서, 기억의 뿌리를 찾아가는 고통스런 여정을 보여준다. 이처럼 손광은의 시편에는 풍요로운 남도의 서정과 함께, 치열한 자기 인식의 과정이 녹아 있다고 할 수 있다.

Son Gwang-eun’s poetry is unified into the world satisfying the keyword, vitality. His poems search for the traces of life scattered around the inside and the outside of his mind and body and take their rise from the will of renewal to take them as his poetic task. He depicts national and traditional archetype of life through the representation of rural landscapes and sentiments. From the most progressive techniques to the most traditional thinkings, the world of life with broad volumes and width is contained in them.Son Gwang-eun’s poetry takes refined and consistent forms of experience toward the past time and among them, it chooses the form of reflection borrowing detailed memories. Archetypal and undamaged memories become the fundamental power that makes him life his own life. In this way, he describes his hometown as his existential origin and at the same time, the painful journey toward the roots of his memories. As such, the process of fierce self recognition is melted with rich southern lyricism in his poetry.
