Abstract
본 연구는 초등학생의 일기 텍스트에 나타난 결속 표지의 발달 양상을 종적으로 분석하는 데에 목적이 있다. 일기 텍스트에 나타난 결속 표지를 ‘접속 표현, 연결 어미, 지시 표현’으로 구분하여 형태와 의미(기능) 발달 양상을 살펴보았다. 접속 표현의 형태는 초등학교 저학년 시기에 대부분 출현하였고, 의미는 ‘이유, 순서’가 초등학교 전 학년에서 출현 빈도가 높았다. 연결 어미의 형태는 ‘-고, -어서, -는데, -면, -지만’이 일정한 출현 빈도를 보였으며, 의미는 ‘이유’가 전 학년에서 가장 높은 빈도를 보였다. 지시 표현의 형태는 ‘그’ 계열이 70% 이상이었으며, 선행 문맥 참조 기능이 압도적으로 출현 빈도가 높았다. 결속 표지 중 연결 어미의 사용 빈도가 접속 표현, 지시 표현에 비해 높았으며, 학년이 올라감에 따라 증가 양상도 두드러졌다.
This study aims to analyze the longitudinal development of cohesion markers in elementary school children. Cohesion markers in the text of diaries were classified into ‘connective expression’, ‘conjunctive suffix’ and ‘referring expression’, and the development of their forms and meaning (function) was investigated. The form of connective expression appeared mostly during the lower grades of elementary school, and the meaning of ‘reason’ and ‘sequence’ was used most frequently throughout all grades of elementary school. The forms of conjunctive suffixes such as ‘-go (-고)’, ‘-eoseo (-어서)’, ‘-neundae (-는데)’, ‘-myeon (-면)’ and ‘-jiman (-지만)’ appeared with regular frequencies, and the meaning of ‘reason’ showed the highest frequency in all grades. Among referring expressions, ‘geu’ and its similar forms accounted for over 70%, and the function of referring to the preceding context was predominant. Among cohesion markers, the frequency of using conjunctive suffixes was higher than the other two, connective expression and referring expression, the trend of which became more prominent in higher grades.
