Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze problems and suggest appropriate solutions by researching user experience of the elderly with cinema kiosks during its spread through rapid increase of non-face-to-face circumstance in daily life due to the influence of Covid-19. As a research method, theories about the unmanned kiosk, the elderly, and user experience were examined through literature research and through prior survey, statistical data on the use of non-face-to-face services by age were analyzed. As a result, the higher the age group, the preference and intention to use non-face-to-face services were gotten lower and the experience of using it was also significantly less than in 20s. Observational surveys and interviews were conducted to analyze the causes of the elderly people"s non-preferred for non-face-to-face services and the range for surveys is the cinema kiosk area. According to the interview and survey, there was no system or service for the elderly in the movie theater kiosk, and it was difficult for them to use due to the complicated reservation steps and small text in the screen. In order to solve this problem, four solutions were proposed. Independent kiosk for elderly people, Simplification of the ticketing steps, Enlargement of texts in the screen and providing voice guidance, Provision of employee call. It is expected that the guidelines finally derived in this study will be used in kiosk design for the elderly. Consistently later on in the post covid-19 era, I hope that the digital divide phenomenon would be resolved along with the better cultural activities for the elderly.
