- Abstract
- The required performance of the heat insulating material is increasing. Therefore, in this paper, thermal conductivity and total heat release change characteristics of Extended Polystyrene Insulation(EPS) and Rigid Polyisocyanurate Foam(PIR) applied to building were analyzed. EPS represent a increase of about 3.8% based on the initial value(0.0325 W/m·k). In addition, the PIR showed an increase rate of about 23.1% compared to the initial value(0.0218 W/m·k), Indicating that the change rate of PIR over time was high than that of EPS.In the change of heat release rate, the change according to the time change of the two insulation material was not significant. In addition, the average heat release during the EPS measurement period was 47.88 MJ/㎡(standard deviation 4.7), and the average heat release of PIR was 0.62 MJ/㎡(standard deviation 37.4). PIR heat release was about 98% lower than EPS.
