- Abstract
- Since the very beginning of the 21st century, more and more people are focusing on the issue of providing for the aged. Right now, home-based care is the mainstream for the aged in Korea, according to the current situation, provide a suitable living housing dwelling for old solitary people is one important job of care for the aged. In this paper, the people above 65 or elder who live alone in Seoul is the main object of investigation, and the affordable residential district in Seoul is the investigation scope. On the basis of the sustainable design principles, this paper summarized the living housing dwelling, which meet the needs of the solitary people in Seoul, and reveal the basic laws of such residential from the environmental psychology, behavioral science, architecture and other multidisciplinary perspective.
