미래사회 핵심 역량 함양을 위한 수학교육 모델 탐색

Abstract

최근 들어 역량 기반 교육과정은 미래사회의 변화에 따른 교육적 요구를 반영하는 대안적 교육 패러다임으로서 사회적 관심이 증가하며 세계적으로 확장되어 가는 상황이다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구에서는 미래사회의 교육적 요구를 반영하는 수학 교과역량의 함양을 위한 수학 교육 실천 모델을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 위해 UNESCO, OECD, WEF 등 세계 기구 및 단체가 발간한 교육개혁 관련 보고서, 외국의 역량 기반 교육과정 사례, 국내 수학교육 전문가 설문 분석을 종합하여 역량 기반 수학교육 실행방안을 탐색하였다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 수학교육모델은 미래사회의 변화에 대응하여 수학교과에서 지향할 교육 목표와 핵심역량을 도출하고 핵심역량 함양을 위한 교육내용, 교수·학습 및 평가 방법, 학습 환경 관련 요소를 구체화하였다.

This research is conducted as an exploratory study to identify a model for compe tence-based mathematics education to guide the implementation of competence-based mathematics curriculum in school. For the inquiry, we analyzed the documents re garding education reform published by UNESCO, WEF, and OECD. We also analyze d the national curricula of Finland, Canada, Australia, and Singapore. We conducted survey to investigate Korean mathematics education professionals perspectives of c ompetence-based curriculum. This research synthesized the results of the analyses to identify the key factors to construct a model for competence-based mathematics e ducation and discuss what the model implies to the future direction of school mathe matics.
