19세기 시베리아 횡단철도 건설의 과정과 목적 - 경제적, 산업적 가치를 중심으로 -

Abstract

본 논고는 19세기 시베리아 횡단철도 건설의 과정과 목적을 경제적, 산업적 가치를 중심으로 기술한 내용이다. 그동안 시베리아 횡단철도에 대한 연구는 정치, 군사적 목적이 중심이었는데, 본고는 경제적, 산업적 목적으로 이루어졌다는 것을 강조한다. 시베리아 횡단철도 건설을 전후해 러시아 경제와 산업이 비약적으로 발전했다. 횡단철도 건설로 첫째, 국내 산업 발전이 일어났고 이에 따라 무역의 확대가 이루어지기 시작했다. 둘째, 산업 분야 중 특히 광업 분야가 발전하였다. 셋째, 철도건설로 농산품 수송이 급증했으며, 이에 따라 러시아 농업 발전에 이바지 하였다. 넷째, 횡단철도 건설로 유통 및 여행업이 발전하였다. 다섯째, 횡단철도로 인해 러시아 내 교통 발전이 혁신적으로 일어나는 계기가 되었다. 본 논고에서 러시아 철도는 수출 무역을 증진하고 산업단지가 창출되면서 산업단지가 연결되는 효과를 누렸다는 점을 강조하였으며, 동시에 시베리아 횡단철도도 경제적, 산업적 가치를 중심으로 건설되었다는 점을 제시하였다. 시베리아 횡단철도는 당시 산업자본주의의 발전 과정에 있었던 러시아에 있어 경제적 중요성을 더하여 주었다.

This paper describes the process and purpose of the construction of the trans - Siberian railway in the 19th century focusing on economic and industrial values. The study of the Trans-Siberian railway has been centered on political and military purposes, and emphasizes that this paper was made for economic and industrial purposes. Before and after the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway, the Russian economy and industry developed dramatically. Construction of trans-railway First, domestic industry development occurred, and trade expansion started to take place. Second, the mining industry in particular has developed. Thirdly, the construction of railways led to a rapid increase in the transportation of agricultural products, thereby contributing to the development of Russian agriculture. Fourth, railway construction has led to the development of distribution and travel industry. Fifth, railway has been an innovative opportunity for traffic development in Russia. In this article, the Russian railway emphasized that export trade was promoted and the industrial complex was created by the creation of industrial complex, and at the same time, it was suggested that the Siberian railroad was built around economic and industrial value. The Trans-Siberian Railway added economic importance to Russia, which was in the process of industrial capitalism at the time.
