Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the energy performance of liquid desiccant (LD) system combined with organic Rankine cycle (ORC) and thermoelectric generator (TEG) energy harvester in summer season. the district heat source was adopted as the heat source for ORC, which can supply regeneration heat for LD system by recovering waste heat. In addition, TEG can generate electricity by temperature difference between ORC working fluid and cooling water from cooling tower. The energy consumption of the proposed system building model was estimated through a series of simulation process using TRNSYS 17 and an engineering equation solver (EES). Finally the primary energy from the LD comebined with ORC and TEG energy harvester compared with LD combined with ORC. According to simulation results, the LD system combined with ORC and TEG energy harvester can save 1% primary energy than that of reference LD system.
