Abstract
李珥(一五三六-一五八四),號栗谷,是韓國儒學的代表人物。栗谷和退溪(李滉,一五○一-一五七○)成就了十六世紀朝鮮儒學的中興。雖然栗谷是一位性理學者,但他卻關注《老子》。栗谷《醇言》是韓國最早的《老子》注釋書。栗谷節錄、組合、重排《老子》的原文,而引用《四書》、三經等儒家經典,以及「太極」、「理氣」、「心性」、「推己及人」等儒家觀念而加以注釋,以此編撰《醇言》。根據栗谷《醇言》的詮釋,「道」是「太極」,「德」是「性」,人以「心」體現「本然之性」。心由理氣之合而成,所以人先要「虛心」,人虛心才能使氣不動心、以理勝氣。栗谷《醇言》又將「嗇」詮釋為「收斂」,以「嗇」為修己治人之要。「收斂」的核心之道是「求放心」。人推修身以治人,為了治人而先要「建中建極」,最終要實踐「無為」之治。「無為」之治是無私而順理、無私心而因人心。栗谷所言的「聖學」是修己治人之學。栗谷轉化《老子》道家經典而成為修己治人的儒家聖學典籍,並於《醇言》中闡述其自身的「修身治人」之說。
