Abstract

Besides being a museum only displaying art works, Kunsthal, designed by Rem Koolhaas, keeps drawing attention with its own variety spaces through the continuos ramp away from its exhibition. The strategy of the building to attract people with its fascinating architecture is similar to that of a shopping mall rather than a museum. Hence, comparing the Kunsthal to a shopping mall, one would be easier to comprehend Kunsthal’s space as well as the characteristics of contemporary buildings transforming similar to a shopping mall.
