공적 사과문 텍스트의 위기 유형별 구조와 언어 표현

Abstract

본 연구는 공적 사과문 텍스트의 위기 유형별 구조와 언어 표현을 분석하는 데에 목적이 있다. 위기 유형은 ‘사고, 실수, 위반’으로 구분하여 참여자 구조와 사과 내용 설명, 사과 표현, 문제 해결 방안, 재발 방지 약속 등의 내용 구조를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 분석 결과 참여자 구조 중 발신자는 ‘사고’와 ‘위반’이 기관명, 기관 대표자 등의 이름이 다수였으며, ‘실수’는 개인의 이름이 주를 이루었다. 수신자는 피해자가 개인일지라도 사과문에서는 개인과 집단 모두가 드러나고 있었으며 위기 유형에 따른 차이를 보이지 않았다. 내용 구조에서는 ‘사과 표현’에서 차이를 보였는데 ‘사고’와 ‘위반’에서는 정형화된 사과 표현을 주로 사용하였다면 ‘실수’에서는 다양한 사과 표현을 사용하였다. 사과 내용 설명에서도 ‘사고’와 ‘실수’가 ‘사과 내용 설명 > 사과 내용 추상적 언급 > 생략’의 순이었고, ‘위반’은 ‘사과 내용 추상적 언급 > 사과 내용 설명 > 생략’의 순으로 차이를 보였다. ‘문제 해결 방안’에서는 ‘사고’와 ‘위반’에 비해 ‘실수’에서 많이 생략되는 것으로 나타났다. ‘재발 방지 약속’의 경우도 ‘사고’와 ‘위반’이 비교적 구체적인 방안을 제시하는 데에 비해 ‘실수’는 자신의 노력을 약속하는 수준에서 그치고 있었다.

This study aims to analyze the structure and linguistic expression in public apology texts by crisis type. The type of crisis was divided into ‘incident, mistake, and vionlation’ to investigate the structures of the participants and the contents, such as the description of contents of apology, the expression of apology, the solution to problems, and promise for recurrence prevention. As a result of the analysis, as the addressers in the structure of participants, most were institution names and institution representatives’ names for ‘incident’ and ‘violation’ and individuals’ names for ‘mistake.’ As the addressees, even if the victims were individuals, both individuals and groups appeared in written apologies, and there were no differences according to the type of crisis. In the structure of contents, there were differences in ‘the expression of apology,’ and in ‘incident’ and ‘violation,’ mostly, standardized expressions of apology were used, while in ‘mistake,’ various expressions of apology were used. In addition, there were differences as follows: The descriptions of contents of apology were in the following order: ‘Description of contents of apology > Abstract mentioning of contents of apology > Omission’ in ‘incident’ and ‘mistake’ while descriptions of contents of apology were in the following order: ‘Abstract mentioning of contents of apology > Description of contents of apology > Omission’ in ‘violation.’ As for ‘the solution to problems,’ it was omitted more in ‘mistake’ than in ‘incident’ and ‘violation.’ As for ‘the promise of recurrence prevention,’ relatively concrete solutions were presented in ‘incident’ and ‘violation’ while one’s efforts were promised in ‘mistake.’
