Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the energy performance of a liquid desiccant and evaporative cooling-assisted 100% outdoor air system(LD-IDECOAS) when applied in Beijign, China. To evaluate the operation of the LD-IDECOAS, the energy consumption was compared with the conventional variable air volume(VAV) system and indirect and direct evaporative cooling assisted 100% outdoor air system(IDECOAS). A large amount of heat is required in the regeneration section of the LD-IDECOAS where the district heating is responsible. The results show that the energy consumption of LD-IDECOAS and IDECOAS is lower than that of VAV systems.
