- Abstract
- The main purpose of this study is to propose an operating protocol and control algorithm for package unit of a liquid desiccant and evaporative cooling-assisted 100% outdoor air system (LD-IDECOAS). The package unit of the LD-IDECOAS includes a liquid desiccant (LD) system and indirect and direct evaporative coolers (IEC and DEC) to meet the target supply air (SA) conditions. The seasonal mode of operating protocol and control algorithm of the package unit are suggested and developed for proposing the package unit of the LD-IDECOAS. Based on the previous research about on the system components such as LD unit and IEC and DEC unit, each system type (i.e., contact type of process air), materials of components, and desiccant solution were selected and then designed. In this study, a design concept of the prototype of LD-IDECOAS package unit system was explained according to the design procedure.
