Abstract
Capturing an object in non-uniform illumination was one of the problem in designing illumination system. In this paper, we suggest the color correction method to uniform illumination without using a uniform white board. The method requires scenes in certain non-uniform illumination and common uniform illumination. Using non-uniform illumination with a color filter or additional illumination, recovered spectral reflectance is obtained under nonuniform condition. The spectral reflectance is converted to a relit scene by spectral relighting which relit based on wavelength, and then the relit scene is compared with the uniform scene for color correction. By the comparison, the non-uniform scene is corrected to uniform illuminated scene, and comparing two scenes shows that the color correction is conducted well. With the result, the suggested method will reduce difficulty of designing illumination system .
