Abstract
A heat and energy exchanger saves ventilation energy in buildings by recovering the sensible and latent heat from the return air. The condensation caused from temperature difference when energy exchange occurs between indoor air and outdoor air gets frozen once it meets outdoor air colder than the freezing point. Many studies were conducted to solve this problem. However in this study, we prevent frozing problem to installing a preheating coil at supply-outdoor sides of energy exchanger. And calculate the temperature of frosting threshold and it’s capcity mathematically. Also this process applied to outdoor condition of local area for suggest local area’s preheating capacity.
