청소년의 불안 / 우울 수준과 진로미결정과의 관계: 사회적 지지 및 갈등과 자기효능감의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구는 사회인지진로이론(Lent, Brown, & Hackett, 1994)과 사회인지이론(Bandura, 1999, 2000)을 바탕으로, 불안 / 우울 수준과 진로미결정과의 관계에서 사회적 지지 및 갈등과 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 또한 사회적 지지 및 갈등이 불안/ 우울 수준과 자기효능감과의 관계에서 동등한 간접효과를 가지는지를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해, 한국청소년정책연구원이 청소년을 대상으로 진행한 한국청소년패널조사(KYPS)의 2004년부터 2007년 패널 자료를사용하여 연구 변인들 간의 관계, 연구모형의 적합도, 간접효과 검증과 간접효과 동등성 검증을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 불안/ 우울 수준에서 사회적 지지 및 갈등과 자기효능감을 매개로진로미결정에 영향을 미치는 완전매개모형이 자료를 적합하게 설명하였다. 간접효과 검증에서 불안/ 우울 수준과 진로미결정과의 관계에서 사회적 지지인 부모지지와 자기효능감을 통한 매개효과와 사회적 갈등인 또래갈등과 자기효능감을 통한 매개효과만이 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 부모지지와 또래갈등의 간접효과 동등성 검증에서 이들의 간접효과는동일한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점, 의의와 시사점에 대해서 논의하였다.

Based on from Social cognitive career theory(Lent, Brown, & Hackett, 1994) and social cognitive theory(Bandura, 1999, 2000), we conducted this study to examine the mediating roles of social support and conflict and self-efficacy in the relationships between anxiety / depression and career indecision. In addition, we tested the roles of social support and conflict as mediating mechanisms in the relationships between anxiety / depression and self-efficacy. To do this, we performed the correlation analysis, structural equation modeling, and wald test using the Korean Youth Panel Survey(KYPS) data obtained form the National Youth Policy Institute covering the period of 2004 though 2007. Findings indicated support for our hypothesized mediated model. Specifically, the relationship between anxiety / depression and career indecision was mediated by parental support and self-efficacy. Also, the relationship between anxiety / depression and career indecision was mediated by peer conflict and self-efficacy. The wald test revealed that the indirect effect of parental support and the indirect effect of peer conflict in the relationships between anxiety / depression and self-efficacy are statistically equivalent. Finally, we discussed limitations, ideas for future research, and implications.
