Abstract
Surface diffusivity of lateral walls affects distribution of the concert hall acoustics. The design ele-ments of diffusers are geometrical shape, structural height, surface coverage, and installation position. Scattering and absorption coefficients of the diffusers were measured in a 1:10 reverberation chamber and diffusion coefficients of the diffusers were measured in a semi-anechoic chamber. The scattering and diffusion coefficients were increased with deeper structural height of the diffusers, and the total absorption was also increased due to larger surface area.
