Abstract
Researches on reduction of BSR noise are actively conducted in the automobile industry. BSR noise is generated by friction or impact between components of vehicles. In order to analyze accurate features of BSR noise, it is very important to establish theoretical prediction model as well as experimental approaches. In this research, multi-element structures that show characteristics of vehicle welding spot are modeled by using spectral element method. Through the theoretical analysis, influence factors of BSR noise are identified and complex correlations among these factors are analyzed. When BSR noise occur, theoretical behavior characteristics and vibration weak region are also predicted through the model. These results are experimentally verified through specimens. As a result, dynamic behaviors of noise are schematized and indexes for evaluating vehicle BSR noise are developed.
