- Abstract
- This study aims to investigate the transfer path of the noise and vibration in multi-story buildings. Floor impact sound and vibration level were measured in a multi-story building with two types of structure and thickness of bare slab. Accelerometers were installed near the excitation point of the floor, side walls and a ceiling of the receiver room. A microphone was located at the center of the receiving room to determine the air-borne sound level. The floor impact sound and vibration was generated by the bang machine, impact ball and tapping machine in a living room. In addition, the frequency response of window surface was measured to examine weakness points of window with regard to the vibration. Based on measurement results, the transfer path analysis was conducted in terms of the frequency responses. The contribution of structure-borne noise and vibration from room components to floor impact noise were discussed based on the transfer path analysis.
