- Abstract
- Most IPS(Indoor Positioning Systems) companies deliver their products and services in forms of SDK with unique API(Application Programming Interface). It costs a lot of money to replace an installed IPS to a different one or to use an additional IPS in one application. Interfaces for essential functions to notify one's current position and orientation are similar in various IPS. It can be concerned that the standardization of IPS interfaces helps reduce the cost of money as well as improve the performance of IPS. Thus, we propose the standard IPS interface and layered architecture.
