Abstract
This paper proposes a new direct active and reactive power control (DPC) method for the three-phase gridconnected voltage source inverters (VSIs). The proposed method is designed based on the passivity viewpoint to directlycalculate the converter control voltage without including rotating coordinate transformation and extra current loop. Thismethod consists of a feedforward part and a feedback part. The feedforward part is obtained from the model of VSI.And the feedback part is designed to compensate for the model uncertainty and components uncertainty. Moreover, it isguaranteed that the origin of the error dynamics is globally stable by using Lyapunov theory. The proposed method isvalidated through simulation by using MATLAB/Simulink and PLECS. The simulation results are compared with thoseusing sliding mode control (SMC). Based on the simulation results, the proposed method provides less power ripple andlow ac current total harmonic distortions (THDs).
