- Abstract
- The performance of a regenerator using lithium chloride (LiCl) as a desiccant solution was investigated, and experimental research was conducted to observe the performance of the regenerator. The experimental data pool for the regenerator was generated by collecting data from the literature. A response surface method was also used to investigate single parameters and their interactions that have significant effects on the regenerative performance of the regenerator of a liquid desiccant system. Based on this analysis, a first-order linear regression equation was derived as a function of major parameters and interactions, to predict the regeneration effectiveness. The experimental data from the pilot unit were obtained under various operational conditions. Finally, the results of the model and the experimental data were compared. The predicted effectiveness values returned from the derived model show good agreement with the experimental data.
