- Abstract
- Marine streamer data are typically coarse sampled among crossline direction. This spatial aliased data can cause problems for seismic data processing. Therefore efficient and accurate interpolation method is required. Among several interpolation techniques, the matching pursuit method using multicomponent data is robustness tool for the aliased data. The conventional matching pursuit method use sinusoidal basis function. The sinusoidal function has one component in wavenumber domain. On the other hand, wavelet has bandwidth range in wavenumber domain. Thus, the use of wavelet to basis function can improve the de-aliasing capability. We present a technique that wavelet based interpolation by matching pursuit and multicomponent streamer data and analyze the optimal parameter.
