dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a biosensor that measures capacitance of whole-cell in electrolytic solution. The sensor was fabricated in CMOS technology and invasive breast cancer cell-line MDA-MB-231 was prepared for experiment. The living cell is a complex structure with different electrical properties, however it can be considered simply as a parallel plate capacitor. The capacitances of cancer cell were measured by LCR meter at 10 kHz and 100 kHz. This characteristic of whole-cell should be applicable as applications such as cancer diagnosis and treatment. | - |
