dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to suggest the feasibility of the use of topographical maps based on the output of research and development for the monitoring of countries' activities in science and technology and also for analyzing new technological challenges in the similar research field of competitors. We made attempts to visualize the topographical map of secondary battery technology using scientific papers over past 30 years provided by Web of Science (WOS, Thomson Reuters, USA) on the country level. Obtained R&D topographies were morphologically compared with each other and the R&D direction of each country was analyzed from a singularity of topographies in the research domain of secondary battery. Our study could suggest one of methods of monitoring macroscopic competitor's technological activities in the systematic way. | - |
