Abstract
There are many methods to estimate geotechnical parameters through field tests like SPT and CPT, but these require soil disturbance. Recently, geophysical prospecting is performed using methods to estimate Vs, Vp, and resistivity, but the use of geophysical prospecting to estimate geotechnical parameters is limited due to a lack of correlations between non-destructive properties and geotechnical parameters. In this study, triaxial compression tests were performed to estimate geotechnical parameters for sand. Piezoelectric element and probe set up a top and bottom cap, respectively and measured elastic wave and resistivity during consolidation step. As a result, void ratio which was calculated from elastic wave are very similar with volume based void ratio. It means that non-destructive properties from geophysical exploration can be applied to estimate the geotechnical parameters.
