- Abstract
- In this study, a compact circularly-polarized (CP) enhanced bandwidth instrument, scientific, and measurement (ISM) band (2.4-2.485 GHz) antenna with enhanced bandwidth is proposed for wireless body area network applications. To miniaturize the size and widen the CP bandwidth, two y-shaped strips connected to ground and a partially meandered strip feed line were used. The manufactured antenna has a 10 dB return loss bandwidth of 46% (2170-3290 MHz) and a 3 dB axial-ratio bandwidth of 29% (2110-2820 MHz). The maximum gain of the antenna is 4.87 dBic.
