Abstract
It is commonly focused on the occupant space and little attention has been paid on the application of demand-controlledventilation(DCV) strategy in non-occupant space such as underground parking facilities. Therefore, the main topic of this paperis to show a possibility of indoor air quality maintenance and the fan energy savings in underground parking facilities byapplying the DCV strategy based on the real-time variation of the traffic load. In this research, the DCV simulations areperformed by comparing it with those for the current underground parking facility ventilation methods, such as theconstant-volume operation, the simple binary control.
