Abstract
A constrained one-bit transform that exploits adaptive search range is proposed in this paper. This transform uses the full search algorithm. However, it requires enormous amount of computation and complexity. In the proposed algorithm, we utilize constrained mask in constrained one-bit transform together with motion vector to determine the search range for each block. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm reduces the number of search points by 84% on average without any significant performance loss in motion estimation.
