Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the following additive functional inequality in normed modules over a C*-algebra. This is applied to understand homomorphisms in C*-algebras. Moreover, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of the following functional inequality in real Banach spaces, where θ, p are positive real numbers with p ≠ 1. Using fixed point methods, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of the previous functional inequality in real Banach spaces.
