Abstract
Korean term for ‘작문(writing)’ is ‘글쓰기’. ‘작문(writing)’ is not ‘글쓰기’ that wields the pen but ‘글짓기’ which writes the composition. From Middle Korean(1446~1600), We has used ‘·글지·ᅀᅵ(>글지이>글짓기)’ that is a native tongue. On the one hand, according to the number of reader, writings are divided. First, the type of writings is devided according as the number of reader is one or not. Second, if one, the type of writings is devided according as reader is oneself or not. Third, if the majority, the type of writings is devided according as readers are two or not. We must achieve lexical selection within the framework of reader. On the other hand, words have jurisdiction over the structure of writings. Therefore words and lexical selections dominate the dignity of writings. As well, words have jurisdiction over the procedure of writings too. When we select the words to practical use, we must pay special attention to the correct seclection of word’s meaning, spoken and written language, borrowings, purification and so on.
