dc.description.abstractThe paper presents the algorithm of the power distribution to compensate the characteristics of the power takeoff(PTO) load variation for a hybrid electric refuse vehicle. The target hybrid electric vehicle is the parallel hybrid electric truck. In this paper, the control strategy to compensate the power by charging and discharging the motor power is focused on keeping the engine operating point to be efficiently good. The proposed algorithm consists of the structure of the supervisory control algorithm to control the target vehicle for well operation at given mission. In order to verify the control performance of the PTO operation, supervisory controller based on the Model In the Loop System (MILS) is realized by using the Matlab/Simulink®. Simulation results show the performance of the power distribution and the comparison of the fuel consumption using the equivalence factor about both the proposed algorithm and the comparison group.-
