Abstract
Cellular targeting and intracellular delivery of small interfering RNA (siRNA) remain a critical barrier to the clinical application of RNA interference. This chapter provides an overview of various delivery agents employing protein ligands mediating cell-specific delivery of siRNA. Specifically, the chapter details methodologies for the conjugation of antibody or peptide ligands to 0 the cationic peptide-oligo-9-arginine (ii) the polymer poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) and (iii) a lipid-vesicle (Liposome).
