The purpose of this study to analysis the characteristics of spatial significant change along with space and place, perception of space in Pyun Hye-young's novels based on the method of human geography. First, reinterpreting some of the things, on the theory of Yi-Fu Tuan,Edward Relph, explains the correlation of 'space' and 'place', while the former reveals character of universality, the latter takes a ply of personality and sensibility, in other words of the two suggestions, the latter seems more humane. But capitalism that aims focuses on making profits and efficiency, weakens identity of place and spreads placelessness that be damaged the authenticity of place. The human geographers suggest an alternative on the restoration of places, one's arguments from the acceptance of difference and otherness. Furthermore, Pyun Hye-young's novels positively accepts understanding of place to apply in perception of space. Drawing upon Relph's geographical approach to the notion of placelessness, this study argues that the capitalized modernization leads to a loss of authentic meaning in the character's daily lives, house, workplace, road, thus distancing them from their social and natural environments. The heteronomy of spatial structure appears through the representation of spaces produced according to the logic of gospel of efficiency and commercialism, thus reducing the particularity of places and increasing placelessness. On the other hand, Pyun Hye-young's novels also shows the modes of resistance for possibility of new awareness of space filled with otherness and restoration of geographical ability.-
