Abstract
We carried out this study to provide fundamental data for a community facilities plan of an apartment house satisfying aged people various needs by analyzing layout plan and space characteristics of elderly community facilities within an apartment house. This study investigated cases on five apartment housing where is located in Gyeonggi province. We conducted community facilities for aged friendly by classifying according to resident exchange space, environmental friendly space, health promotion space. First of all, a resident exchange space was only deployed in a first floor of apartment in main plaza intensively, increasing connectivity between facilities. However, an outdoor space of a health promotion space was deployed in a little piece of an apartment or outside of complex except indoor space. Secondly, while a community space planned as a various environmental space, it planned restrictively based on a building standard of a law. Thirdly, while a elderly club houses planned as a community space, aged people who is a advanced age or physical handicap have suffered a difficulty to use facilities because elderly club houses safety facilities for sick aged people was restricted to raised blocks and safety bar in a entrance of elderly club houses. Lastly, A environment friendly space planned a green space and water space providing visual attraction such as fountain, eco-pond, biotop, but it is inadequate in gardening activity space such as vegetable garden.
