- Abstract
- Multimode multiband (MMMB) antennas are presented for broadcasting and telecommunication services. The proposed antennas are composed of three different types and contact with a portable media player (PMP) case (epsilon(x) = 3.2), which is used as a substrate for the compact design. Also, the designed antennas have good impedance matching and radiation characteristics for Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial (DVB-T) service of VHF (174-230 MHz) band, Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld (DVB-H) service of UHF/L (470-862 MHz/1452-1492 MHz) bands and also wireless local area network (WLAN) service of IEEE 802.11b/a (2.4-2.5 GHz/5.15-5.825 GHz) bands. The design methodology and the measurement results of the proposed antenna are presented in detail.
