- Abstract
- Carbon-coated LiMnPO4 powders were prepared by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. The effects of calcination temperature on the microstructure and electrochemical performance of C-LiMnPO4 were investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies showed that the crystallite size varied with calcination temperature. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observations revealed that the calcination temperature had a strong influence on the morphology of the prepared final powder, and therefore the subsequent electrochemical performance of the material. The C-LiMnPO4 powders prepared at 650 degrees C exhibited excellent electrochemical performance with a discharge capacity of 118 mAh g(-1).
