- Abstract
- This study analyzes the effects of job sharing and annualised hours on corporate performance in Britain establishments and tries to find out the implications for korean companies. According to the results of the empirical analysis, job sharing has an significantly negative effect on turn-over rate and voluntary turn-over rate. This result means that job-shared employees, who experienced more work-life-balance and more satisfaction with their job and organization between work, would not turn over voluntarily. And annualised hours don't have any significant effect on financial performance and labour productivity but have an significantly positive effect on level of quality/service. From the perspective of Korean companies, labor flexibility with flexible working time could adjust work force efficiently to the change of market needs and save the cost of rigid working time management. From the perspective of korean employees, job sharing and annualised hours could improve employment security and wage stability and increase employee control of working time.
