- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to expect the structure of the capital region to try gauge the future management policies for the metropolitan area planning based on data provided and the basis for establishing a policy to be to take advantage. For this reason, The study was conducted in three steps. First, in order to present how the structure of this area had changed with the passing of time, we classify the municipalities in this area dynamically using data on populations, households, etc., at the four time points of from 1995 to 2005. Second, focusing on the differences in the characteristics of the municipalities and individuals’ travel patterns, we analyze the hierarchical relationships that exist among segments of municipalities. Third, The methodology of the study constitutes a new approach for analyzing urban structure while considering relationships between characteristic of municipalities and individuals’ travel. The results of the study are as follows, Space structure changes in Capital region are found out the similarities and distinction in aspect of the spatial characteristics. In conclusion, The Capital region policies should be established on a regional partnership in aspect of metropolis.
