- Abstract
- We propose a novel method to monitor temperature of a microchannel flow by using polydiacetylene (PDA), a conjugated polymer, which has a unique property to transform its color from visible blue to fluorescent red by thermal stress. We estimate the temperature of a microchannel flow by monitoring the fluorescence intensity of PDA in the microchannel flow. We found a linear relationship between the temperature and PDA fluorescence intensity in a certain temperature range.
